How to set up an Edimax guest network with bandwidth limits
A separate guest Wi-Fi network lets visitors access the internet without joining the private network used by household computers, phones, printers, cameras, and smart-home equipment. On an Edimax router, this setup usually combines a guest SSID, wireless security, client isolation, and a traffic-control feature such as bandwidth management or QoS.
The exact menu names vary between Edimax models and firmware versions. You may see options such as Guest Network, Multiple SSID, Bandwidth Control, Traffic Control, QoS, or Rate Limit. Open Bandwidth Control, QoS, or Traffic Control and identify the guest SSID, guest VLAN, IP range, or connected clients.
