Configure an Edimax Router as a Wireless Access Point
An Edimax router can often serve as a wireless access point when you need to expand network coverage without creating a separate, isolated network. In this arrangement, the main router continues managing internet access, IP addresses, firewall rules, and most network services. The Edimax device supplies an additional wired-to-wireless connection for phones, laptops, smart home equipment, and other clients.

Configure the wireless network
